THREE FOOD GROUPS

Foods are classified into 3 food groups: Body Building foods,  Energy Giving Foods & Protective foods.

Energy- giving food: it comprises of carbohydrates & fats, which provides us with energy which is required to carry out our daily activities.

Fatty foods








Body- building foods: these are rich in proteins & are involved in growth & repair of body cells.


Protective foods: these are rich in vitamins & minerals & are involved in building up the body's immune system.
